In July’s edition of SingularityNET Latest Ecosystem Updates, we reflect on another month of significant growth across our decentralized AI ecosystem. Key highlights include our significant $53m investment to advance decentralized Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and disruptive Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).
Additionally, we provide progress reports from SingularityDAO, Rejuve.Bio, Cogito, and Jam Galaxy, and shine a spotlight on community-led initiatives and contributions. Finally, we recap our participation in key industry events and highlight notable media coverage, reinforcing SingularityNET’s and the ASI Alliance’s positions as leaders in the decentralized AI space.
On July 23rd, 2024, we announced an initial $53 million investment to build the world’s first modular supercomputer dedicated to decentralized AGI and disruptive ASI R&D and state-of-the-art High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI data centers.
Our supercomputer is purpose-built to optimize the training of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), Large Language Models (LLMs), including their aggressively multimodal variations, and also hybrid neural-symbolic computing architectures such as OpenCog Hyperon, tailored for scaling up dynamic AI workloads and AGI applications. It boasts the capacity to concurrently manage extensive and heterogeneous computational tasks, thereby enhancing the speed and efficiency of compute and enabling a paradigmatic shift toward AGI continual learning and self-improvement in high-load scenarios involving evolutionary algorithm processing, large-scale knowledge distillation, pattern matching, and multi-step machine reasoning.
To support this, some of the recent hardware purchases include a range of advanced GPU compute systems, such as a Modular Data Center equipped with Nvidia L40S GPUs, AMD Instinct and Genoa, Tenstorrent Wormhole server racks, and servers featuring H200 GPUs, as well as Nvidia GB200 (Nvidia Blackwell) systems.
In addition to advancing the supercomputer, resources will be used to construct the first in a series of modular compute containers able to be positioned around the world and relocated as needed. These compute containers will serve as a decentralized hub for a broader network of heterogeneous computing devices leveraging the agent-based computing frameworks created by SingularityNET, its ASI Alliance partners Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol, and other ecosystem projects such as NuNet and HyperCycle.
On June 22nd, 2024, the ASI Alliance announced that the core token merger process has been completed and we have moved on to post-merger integration. At the time of writing, over 50% of the circulating Alliance token supply has already merged, including foundation treasuries and balances, SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and Ocean, which are now consolidated under a single token, the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET).
Concurrent with the Alliance’s primary focus on developing and rolling out decentralized AI technology, several implementation and integration steps will be executed in the coming period. In the coming weeks, we will introduce cross-chain bridges and migration solutions to facilitate the transition for our remaining holders on blockchains like Cardano and BNB Chain.
These solutions will enable users to migrate to the merged token (FET) and secure their positions within the Alliance’s ecosystem. Following this, the final step of Phase 2 — updating the ticker from FET to ASI — will be carried out in due time once the alignment of all needed third parties has been achieved.
The ‘SingularityNET’s Technical Tuesdays’ series explores the development of our decentralized AI Platform, the latest advances of the OpenCog Hyperon framework for AGI and beyond, and highlights how we are working to translate our AI and AGI R&D ideas into advanced systems ready to deal with real-world use cases.
On Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, we hosted a special ‘SingularityNET Technical Tuesdays’ session with Janet Adams (COO of SingularityNET), Sergey Shalyapin (CTO of SingularityNET), and Theo Valich (CEO and Co-founder of Ecoblox) to discuss our initial $53 million investment to build the world’s first modular supercomputer dedicated to decentralized AGI and disruptive ASI R&D and state-of-the-art High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI data centers.
In this special session, we will delve into the specifics of this ambitious project and highlight:
We hosted the third edition of the SingularityNET ecosystem all-hands meeting on X Spaces, fostering a lively discussion on the latest advancements within our ecosystem, the ASI Alliance, and the broader decentralized AI landscape.
Participants from SophiaVerse, Cogito, Rejuve.Bio, Jam Galaxy, provided updates on their projects and upcoming milestones. The discussion covered the launch of our Global AI Ethics initiative. It also covered the start of the integration phase of the ASI token merger. It highlighted the continued growth and innovation within the SingularityNET ecosystem.
We look forward to continuing our conversations next month and fostering collaboration within our ever-growing decentralized AI ecosystem.

We are proud of the work our teams and community accomplished in July. We remain committed to continuing to lead the way in decentralized AI and the quest for beneficial AGI.
SingularityNET was founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel with the mission of creating a decentralized, democratic, inclusive, and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). An AGI is not dependent on any central entity, is open to anyone, and is not restricted to the narrow goals of a single corporation or even a single country. The SingularityNET team includes seasoned engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. Our core platform and AI teams are further complemented by specialized teams devoted to application areas such as finance, robotics, biomedical AI, media, arts, and entertainment.
