During August of 2023, SingularityNET and World Mobile Token announced a partnership that was set to combine SingularityNET’s state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology with World Mobile Token’s blockchain-based wireless network.

During the following months, both our teams have been working tirelessly to ensure the successful integration of our technologies.

One of the main goals of the initial stages of this collaboration was to create a seamless bridge to facilitate transactions between different blockchain networks, enhancing the overall functionality and accessibility of both SingularityNET’s and World Mobile’s tokens and services.

Today, we are proud to announce that the SingularityNET bridge for World Mobile has been completed after several months of dedicated development.

Bridge Details

The SingularityNET bridge utilizes a minting and burning method to facilitate transactions between the Ethereum and Cardano blockchains.

The primary objective of the bridge is to integrate the World Mobile Token (WMTx) into the SingularityNET bridge, enabling seamless bridging of the WMTx token between Cardano and Ethereum. This involves adding the WMTx token to the existing bridge infrastructure.

The bridge has been audited and is primed for further use by community members who want to quickly and easily bridge their tokens from one blockchain to another. It has been developed in a modular way allowing more partners to onboard their tokens easily. It integrates with several of the most popular self-custody wallets out there, including Metamask, Nami, Eternl, Gero Wallet, and Flint. For more information, visit the SingularityNET Bridge.

What is WMTx (World Mobile Token)?

World Mobile Token (WMTX) is the utility token that powers the World Mobile network, a decentralized mobile network at the forefront of the DePIN space. World Mobile aims to connect the world by leveraging blockchain technology and a sharing economy. By becoming an AirNode operator or a token staker, anyone can earn rewards for providing telco services to customers or securing the network. The World Mobile network is disrupting the trillion-dollar telco industry and creating a more inclusive, sustainable, and privacy-respecting internet for everyone.

Unlock New Possibilities with SingularityNET’s Multi-Token Bridge

The completion of the SingularityNET bridge for World Mobile is a testament to the dedication toward collaboration and industry interoperability between us and our partners.

It’s more than just a new addition to the SingularityNET token bridge – it represents a synergy between SingularityNET and World Mobile. We collaborated to overcome challenges and solve problems, consistently prioritizing the interests of both our community and the World Mobile community.

For the Cardano blockchain, a specific module has been developed to allow World Mobile to sign all bridge transactions.

On the Ethereum side, SingularityNET provided the smart contract address to World Mobile, which then granted the ‘Minter role’. This role allows for minting and burning tokens, essentially the cornerstone of bridge functionalities.

The backend product by SingularityNET handles events on both sides of the bridge, performing necessary calculations and security checks. World Mobile will utilize this backend via API calls.

Every partner and organization that wants to integrate their token into SingularityNET bridge is able to do so in a seamless way, where the partner will sign all bridge transactions and utilize the SingularityNET backend via API calls. This infrastructure ensures security and transparency not just for SingularityNET partners, but token holders, as well.

How to Bridge

Bridging your World Mobile Token (WMTx) between the Ethereum and Cardano blockchains using the SingularityNET bridge is a straightforward process designed to be user-friendly and efficient. Follow the steps below to seamlessly bridge your tokens:

  1. Visit the SingularityNET Bridge Website: Navigate to the SingularityNET Bridge website. Ensure that you are using a supported browser for optimal performance.
  2. Connect Your Wallet: Select and connect one of the supported self-custody wallets such as Metamask, Nami, Eternl, Gero Wallet, or Flint. Ensure your wallet is correctly configured to interact with the desired blockchain network (Ethereum or Cardano).
  3. Select the Token and Network: Choose World Mobile Token (WMTx) from the list of supported tokens. Select the source blockchain (Ethereum or Cardano) and the target blockchain you wish to bridge to.
  4. Enter the Amount: Specify the amount of WMTx you wish to bridge. Ensure that the amount falls within the minimum and maximum limits allowed by the bridge.
  5. Approve the Transaction: Approve the transaction in your wallet. This step may involve granting permission for the bridge contract to access your tokens. Follow the prompts in your wallet to complete this approval.
  6. Initiate the Bridge Process: Click on the “Bridge” button to initiate the bridging process. The bridge will handle the minting and burning mechanism to transfer your tokens between the blockchains. Wait for the process to complete. You can monitor the status through the bridge interface.
  7. Verify the Bridged Tokens: Once the process is complete, verify that the WMTx tokens have been successfully transferred to your target blockchain wallet. Check your wallet balance on the new blockchain network to confirm the successful bridging of your tokens.(You will receive a transaction receipt, detailing the specifics of the bridge operation, including transaction IDs for reference!)

If you encounter any issues or need assistance during the bridging process, refer to the help section on the SingularityNET Bridge website.

We are immensely proud of the tireless work and dedication that both teams have invested in this project. Together, we are leading the charge in creating a future where AI and blockchain technologies seamlessly intersect – ultimately paving the way for new opportunities and advancements for our community members.

Enjoy the seamless and efficient bridging experience powered by SingularityNET and World Mobile.

Our core platform and AI teams are further complemented by specialized teams devoted to application areas such as finance, robotics, biomedical AI, media, arts, and entertainment.

About World Mobile Token

World Mobile is on a mission to connect everyone, everywhere. With nearly four billion people left offline, digital exclusion is a significant problem. Unlike traditional mobile networks, World Mobile is run by the people for the people, so anyone can connect their community to the Internet and share the rewards. World Mobile Token (WMTx) is the utility token that powers the sharing economy of World Mobile’s global mobile network. Transactions on the network are generated when people use the network. This includes calls, texts, streaming, Internet browsing or using any other value-added services such as content, finance, healthcare, insurance, micro-loans and more. So every time someone uses their device to connect to the World Mobile network, the token’s utility comes into play.
