SingularityNET and the BGI Nexus are excited to invite the community to a celebration of the Pre-Alpha Launch Party of the Elowyn: Quest of Time game. Elowyn, built through partnership between SingularityNET’s partners EARTHwise and Simuli, is an opportunity for everyone to help teach beneficial principles and cooperation to AI systems, bringing humans and AI closer together.
The Elowyn game is coming to Earth on the Solstice! On December 21st, you will have a chance to play the pre-alpha version, connect with the team, and learn more about this beautiful online card game.

In Elowyn: Quest of Time, the world is burning. Time is running out! Moloch, an evil AI helped by its Shadow Arc companions, edges humanity ever closer to destruction. You must reverse the Moloch clock before it is too late and save the Elowyn tree. The player can choose from a range of beautifully drawn characters and build their own unique decks to fight Moloch’s forces.
Harmonious, collaborative strategies are rewarded over pyrrhic victories. The AI can deceive and play tricks, creating a layered experience that is engaging and acts as a heuristic for players to experiment with different holistic strategies. EARTHwise CEO Dr. Anneloes Smitsman explains that the purpose is twofold: to teach humans and train AIs in regenerative dynamics at the same time.
During the Superintelligence Summit in Thailand, the BGI Nexus initiative was excited to announce a close alliance with EARTHwise, toward the common goal of developing beneficial and inclusive AGI, for the good of all. BGI Nexus is proud to feature this first connection with EARTHwise and the Elowyn game, the first of many gateways between our community and the network of global communities innovating important steps on the path to BGI. By connecting individuals with a passion of building a better future with and through AI with projects developing real solutions, the BGI Nexus will serve an important role in facilitating and driving progress toward a future of worldwide well-being.
The Elowyn game is just one way in which EARTHwise is addressing the development of beneficial AI, which BGI Nexus participants can support and get involved in. Dr. Smitsman has also been leading a powerful collaborative effort to produce the AGI Constitution, a participatory framework to guide the development of beneficial, benevolent AGI. The Constitution was recently published in Cadmus Journal by the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. SingularityNET community members participated in forming this document asynchronously and in person at the BGI-24 event. The Constitution is a living document, and remains open for new collaboration and contributions.
In the Nexus project, and in SingularityNET more widely, we look forward to working closely with EARTHwise, as we share much in common with our values and goals. Not just a heartfelt contribution to the online gaming community or simply a heuristic tool, the game is a keystone in a much larger regenerative strategy by EARTHwise. Players who play the game can earn EWA tokens and take part in the EARTHwise ecosystem. These ERC-20-based tokens confer governance and participation rights within the Elowyn, and act as a currency in ElowynDAO and the EARTHwise ecosystem, allowing players to exchange tokens for courses, access to events, and other exciting opportunities. The token also acts as the foundation for the EARTHwise project funding program, where people can submit proposals for beneficial, regenerative projects.
The BGI Nexus community are excited to be a part of this joint event, hosted by EARTHwise and SingularityNET, will feature a range of thought leaders discussing the path to a shared future of benefit, including Ben Goertzel, Esther Galfalvi, and Haley Lowy from SingularityNET. We invite the entire SingularityNET and BGI Nexus community to attend with us, to celebrate this new adventure in training beneficial AI, and human-AI cooperation.
