The SingularityNET Community Ambassador program aims to:
Spread the word on our ecosystem
Rewards & Benefits- For community members who want to contribute towards a beneficial AGI.
The main drivers behind the ambassador program are transparency, decentralization, and involvement. To those ends, community participants are fully involved in deciding how tokens are spent. We discuss this at the weekly Town Hall meetings which are public and open for all to attend and input to.
Dework, a web3 Trello board, lists all the open and completed tasks that ambassadors have worked on and what rewards are attached to each task, and the program’s Gitbook lists all tokens which have been awarded to ambassadors and transaction details for full transparency.
The ambassador has been established to create a way for community members to contribute to the SingularityNET ecosystem with their specific set of skills, talents and passions, to strengthen ties between ecosystem projects and their communities, and to harness the passion of our community members for the ecosystem to introduce new people to the SingularityNET ecosystem.
The activities that ambassadors are engaged in range from completing valuable tasks for ecosystem outreach, such as translating blog posts or creating YouTube videos, to working together with other ambassadors in self-organizing workgroups. Workgroups are formed to focus on specific projects and areas of activity within the program. So far, two of these community-organized workgroups have been established. One workgroup is focused on building out the foundations of the program, a critical task in these first few months of the program, and the other is establishing a community-led podcast. If you would like to be involved with these specific areas of activity, reach out on Discord and join in.
As the program is developed further, more workgroups will be set up for new areas of activity on an as-needed basis. Everyone is invited to take the initiative to start a workgroup for projects benefiting the SingularityNET ecosystem. The ambassador program is taking a decentralized approach to program organization, including the process of designing the structure of the program itself. SingularityNET ecosystem community members are centrally involved in shaping what the ambassador program looks like and how it is structured, and it will continually evolve to fit the needs and desires of the community in the direction it takes.
Ambassadors can choose to play a variety of roles in the program. Roles such as moderating our social media platforms, hosting meetups, creating content like YouTube videos, translating blogs, hosting a podcast, and, for the systems and processes folks, helping us to build the structure of the program itself, are available and open to all SingularityNET ecosystem community members who wish to participate and be an ambassador for the ecosystem.
As the ambassador program grows and evolves, so also will the roles of the ambassadors. New kinds of roles for ambassadors to play within the ecosystem will also be created, guided by the interests and goals of the community and the ambassadors themselves.
As mentioned already, workgroups are being formed around specific projects, such as the new community podcast which is being set up, and within these there will be a host of roles available, in the case of the podcast group it could be to host the podcast, or to research projects and guests, or to assist on the technical side with recording and video editing. We are looking for folks for all of these roles so please do reach out if these interest you.
The Supervisory Council has allocated 0.5% of the newly minted token supply to the ambassador program, giving the program a monthly budget of 62,500 AGIX. These tokens are distributed to ambassadors as rewards for completing ambassador tasks and the transactions are publicly available.
There are weekly Town Hall meetings every Tuesday at 1800 UTC on the SingularityNET discord server. This is a great place to start if you want to learn more about the program and how to get involved. All meetings are public, and everyone is encouraged to attend or watch the recordings afterwards. Town Halls and workgroup sessions are recorded and made available on a Youtube playlist.
For an overview of the program and some background information, go to our Gitbook. This is the home of all documentation for the program, such as meeting slides and notes, and includes a guide on how to get started if you want to join in.
Additionally, Dework is used to manage the program tasks. This is where ambassadors can select tasks they would like to work on. We hope to see you join soon!
