SingularityNET News and Updates

Decentralized AI Platform Development

From January 20th to February 23rd, our Decentralized AI Platform development team made significant progress in enhancing core functionalities and improving the developer experience. Several updates across various Platform components provide developers with more robust tools, increased flexibility, and a smoother workflow.

The Python SDK has been upgraded to version 3.7.0, introducing integrated training functionality that allows developers to manage and execute training tasks programmatically. This release also addresses package naming to ensure alignment with PEP-625 standards and incorporates additional unit tests, bringing our code coverage up to 30%. The team has thoroughly revised the documentation to reflect these changes and provide clearer guidance for developers. Similarly, the NodeJS SDK has received important improvements, resolving build issues in both snet-sdk-node and snet-sdk-core packages and fixing payment strategy methods. To facilitate implementation, we have added usage examples for free and concurrent calls to the snet-sdk-node package.

Our team is actively integrating Filecoin into the Marketplace to expand storage options and enhance Platform resilience. This integration remains in the development stage, with ongoing bug-fixing and optimization efforts to ensure seamless performance. On the frontend, we have implemented several improvements, including new feedback forms for Marketplace support and service provider contact, MetaMask account change detection fixes, free-call token generation, and service filtering. We have also addressed numerous UI/UX issues related to login routes, PayPal flow, and various layout elements to create a more intuitive user experience. Backend services have received considerable attention with bug fixes and continued work on Filecoin integration in both the registry and contract_api services. For publishers, the team enhanced the Publisher Portal to offer the ability to select between IPFS and Filecoin for storing organizations and services, providing increased flexibility in managing deployments.

The Daemon has been updated to version 5.2 with improvements to error handling for Infura rate limiting, model storage refactoring, and fixes for pending model listeners. We have completed comprehensive testing of the full training functionality, reworked training processes, and renamed configuration parameters for greater clarity. Complementing these changes, the CLI has been updated to version 2.4.1, addressing several resource-related bugs and incorporating new functional tests.

The UI Sandbox has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, with both frontend and backend improvements. This web-based platform offers integrated tools, simplified workflows, and a modern framework for efficient UI creation, customization, and deployment. A newly published step-by-step tutorial guides developers through building AI service interfaces.

Strategic Initiatives Office

Our Strategic Initiatives Office continued to advance SingularityNET’s position in the decentralized AI space, with a focused approach to commercialization, revenue modeling, and resource orchestration. Strategic exploration concentrates on emerging technological domains, including decentralized AI infrastructure, cross-chain interoperability, and advanced computational resource optimization.

This month, we partnered with Bitgrit to accelerate beneficial AGI development by connecting their global network of over 35,000 AI/ML engineers and data scientists with our OpenCog Hyperon AGI framework and decentralized AI Platform. This collaboration will also see Bitgrit’s AI services, including the Generative AI Fake Image Detection API and X Virality Prediction API, integrated into our Platform, allowing developers to incorporate these robust AI solutions into their operations.

We also entered a strategic partnership with Mind Network to introduce the ASI Hub—a decentralized infrastructure leveraging Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to secure the generation of AI agent identities and generate on-chain, verifiable randomness. This innovation ensures trusted AI interactions, fair algorithmic processes, and provable privacy-preserving authentication across AI and blockchain ecosystems.

As of February 28, 2025, we have established 40 active partnerships. These collaborations span key areas such as AGI-Ops (14 partnerships), new revenue streams (15 partnerships), and new ventures (11 partnerships). These partnerships are already demonstrating success in delivering viable products, generating recurring revenue, enabling successful ecosystem development, and creating value for our community.

$500,000 in Grants for Technical BGI Projects

The SingularityNET BGI Nexus initiative, in collaboration with Deep Funding, has launched a $500,000 grant program for technical AI and AGI solutions that deliberately target social and environmental good. These include environmental regeneration technologies, AI safety monitoring systems, and more. All proposals must demonstrate clear real-world impact, comprehensive safety plans, and ethical considerations.

This is a community-centered funding program in which projects are selected based on a combination of BGI community reviewer scores and community voting. Winners will be announced in April and will have the opportunity to present their projects at the BGI Summit and Unconference in Istanbul, Türkiye (May 26-29, 2025), where they will connect with thought leaders in the BGI space.

18th Annual AGI Conference: Call for Papers and Workshops

SingularityNET will co-organize the 18th Annual AGI Conference (AGI-25) from August 10–13, 2025, at Reykjavík University, Iceland. AGI-25 will offer both in-person and virtual participation options for authors, presenters, and attendees.

The Conference invites submissions of original papers and workshop and tutorial proposals. Several awards will be presented at the Conference, including the Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Paper, the Springer Prize, the AGI Society Prize, and the OpenCog Foundation Best Student Paper Prize.
