A central principle of SingularityNET is that everyone in the world should have a say in the direction that artificial intelligence takes — every voice matters as we globally co-create this powerful technology. The most direct impact our community can have on shaping the AI landscape is through voting in Deep Funding, our community-voted grant program, which funds development of the next generation of AI on the SingularityNET Marketplace.

The SingularityNET Deep Funding team is excited to announce that voting is now open for Deep Funding Round 3. Inside the Deep Funding proposals portal, you’ll be able to explore and vote for your favorite proposals, so they will receive the funding they need to grow.

As we begin the voting process in Deep Funding Round 3, we invite you on this journey to collectively and collaboratively shape the future of AI.

Your vote shapes the future of AI

Your vote is paramount in the Deep Funding Round 3 process. It’s more than just a way to support your favorite projects in the community, it’s an opportunity to play your role in shaping the future of AI.

The chosen projects will influence the trajectory of AI development, contributing to a future where technology is built on the bedrock of shared values, ethical practices, and inclusive access.

But this can’t happen without you and your vote.

Your voice shapes the direction and priorities of the AI ecosystem within SingularityNET, deciding which initiatives are propelled forward to realization, thereby contributing to a future where AGI is decentralized and beneficial to all.

A roadmap of the Deep Funding Round 3

Deep Funding Round 3 has been an incredible journey for the entire community. With over 136 proposals and a rigorous process of eligibility checks, peer reviews, and internal assessments, Deep Funding has created a final portfolio of 120 proposals ready to receive your vote!

Each phase of this journey has played a pivotal role, ensuring only the most promising projects, those aligned with the vision of SingularityNET and the community-approved guidelines of Deep Funding, will have a chance to receive their requested funding for growth.

Voting is open from October 2nd to October 8th, 2023 — now is your chance to cast your vote for projects you support.

The awarded projects will be announced on October 20th.

The Structure of Round 3 — Pools and Awards

You have the chance to vote inside five pools that cater to a diverse range of AI projects and ideas.

Pool “New Projects “— new projects that revolve around creating or using an AI service on the platform.

Pool “Ideation” — extra support and attention to projects in their ideation phase, so they can submit a proposal to a regular pool in the next round. The funding can be used to specify the requirements, create a technical design, design a UI, perform marketing research etc., as well as request community feedback and find experts or team members to strengthen the future proposal.

Pool “Marketing” — projects that help to bring AI developers or AI consumers to our platform and to Deep Funding. The proposal goals should be quantified and measurable, and awards should be connected to successfully reaching these goals.

Pool “Tooling” — projects that offer tooling to support the decentralized AI platform or the processes around Deep Funding itself

Pool “SNET Request for Proposals” — the most thrilling addition to Round 3! With a massive award of $530,000, this pool is where you can collaborate with SingularityNET’s tech team on specific platform features the team is building.

While all submissions hold merit, there are a few that have been specially acknowledged with a ‘Recommended by SingularityNET’ tag in the RFP pool. Since these ‘requests for proposal’ topics were created by the SingularityNET AI/AGI team with specific Platform goals in mind, the team is excited to provide some guidance on the community proposal projects that are an especially strong match for the request documents.

• RFP 1 — Community Engagement Scores by Photrek.
• RFP 1 — Cross-Platform Reputation Scores by Togethercrew.
• RFP 2 — DeFiGraph — Knowledge Graph (KG) for DeFi by L3A / MIT / Neo4J.
• RFP 2 — HiveMind — augmented Q&A bot and P2P knowledge base by Togethercrew.
• RFP 3 — Memory-augmented LLMs: Retrieving Information using a Gated Encoder LLM (RIGEL) by Mlabs.
• RFP 4 — Architectural Design for Uncertain Knowledge Graphs by Photrek.

· Community Recommended Proposals: Read the blog post by the Deep Funding team on community-backed recommendations to find submissions the community likes to further inform your assessments.

· Engage with Idea Fest: Access insightful videos from the Idea Fest either directly through proposal overview pages or sequentially on Deep Funding’s YouTube channel for a comprehensive view of the projects.
